North Central Florida Media (NCFM) seeks a multimedia journalist who will work as part of a team covering the communities of North Central Florida with primary emphasis on local news and information important and relevant to residents of Ocala/Marion County.
This reporting role produces both breaking news and enterprise stories for 352 Today – Your Community Connection.
Typical duties will include:
- Ability to identify, develop and report local news stories that resonate with residents in a nine-county coverage area.
- Ability to tell stories in informative, ethical, engaging and entertaining ways.
- Ability produce content for multiple formats including but not limited to text, photography, video, social media and a willingness to continuously experiment with different storytelling forms.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.
- One or more years of journalism experience.
- Strong reporting/writing ability.
- Experience using digital content management systems.
- Active engagement in social media platforms.
- The ability to learn and adapt quickly to emerging technologies.
