Local News Correspondent Allison

Allison has been with the NCFM group since 2022, first as an intern and now as the local news correspondent. She is on the Hunter and Parker Morning Show and The Mr. Bob Morning Show on Mondays and Wednesdays.

She was born and raised in Ocala, FL, and then moved to Gainesville for college after graduating from Forest High School in 2019. She is studying broadcast journalism at the University of Florida. Go Gators!

She first got her start in broadcasting when she interned at The Buddy Martin Show in 2016 and was a lead anchor for Forest’s morning news show when she was in high school.

“I’ve pretty much always known I want to be in broadcasting at some capacity,” she said. “Working on Wind and K-Country has been the most amazing opportunity I could’ve asked for!”

When Allison isn’t on-air, she’s booking it back to Gainesville for class, or just hanging out with her friends or enjoying a book. During the week she works closely with WUFT, UF’s student run newsroom.

Allison is a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority and gives back to the Child Advocacy Center in Gainesville and Prevent Child Abuse America. KD also works with the Girl Scouts of the USA and sells cookies in the spring! She prefers Thin Mints, especially fresh out of the freezer.

Although Allison is learning to love iconic rock and country music, she is a die-hard Taylor Swift fan. She also loves Fleetwood Mac, Bruce Springsteen, Carrie Underwood, and Morgan Wallen, which she’s more likely to hear while working!

“The best part about this job is experiencing how amazing the listeners are,” she said. “They’re just awesome, and I feel welcomed with open arms.”

Don’t miss Allison on BOTH stations Mondays and Wednesdays 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
