Promotions Director Job Opening

Market leader North Central Florida Media Group (K-Country 93.7 and Wind-FM) has an immediate opening for a Promotions Director.

This position is responsible for online and onsite engagement with our listeners while maintaining and protecting the presentation of our brands.  This role also is in charge of ordering and maintaining our promotional items for listeners and staff.  The person in this role must work closely with Programming, Sales and Digital departments.

Some of the duties of the Promotion Director include:

  1. Social Media
    • Executing best practices for social media engagement.
    • Understanding rules and policies of Social Media platforms, and staying current as they change.
    • Keeping Social Media content and posts fresh and compelling.
    • Extreme attention to detail.
  2. Marketing
    • Understanding and executing best practices for our Digital platforms:
      • Social Media
        • How to get lots of Shares and Engagements.
        • How to drive traffic to our own sites and client sites.
      • Newsletters
        • How to get excellent Open and Click-thru Rates.
        • How to grow our databases.
      • Websites
        • How to get more traffic to our sites.
        • How to keep visitors on our sites longer.
        • How to integrate our sites with our on-air.
      • Extreme attention to detail.
  3. Copywriting
    • Writing and updating engaging copy for:
      • Live and Recorded on-air promos.
      • Social Media posts.
      • Newsletter content.
      • Website content.
  4. Graphics
    • Having an eye for effective graphic design.
    • Knowing what graphics work best on different vehicles (Print, Social, Newsletter, Website)
    • Extreme attention to detail.
  5. Administrative
    • Maintaining up-to-date online calendars of all promotions and events.
    • Managing prize grids for all prizes from on-air contests.
    • Making sure we are compliant with Saga and other legal policies regarding prizes we award.
    • Coordinating Contest Rules for every promotion that involves prizing.
    • Leading weekly Promotion Meetings, and providing an agenda before, and a recap after, the meeting.
    • Promotional supplies – ordering, managing inventory, etc.
    • Managing promotional announcement inventory; scheduling promotional announcements; getting promotional announcements recorded and produced.
    • Maintaining station vehicles’ records of maintenance and registration.
    • Loading and unloading station vehicles with promotional material, PA systems, tents, banners and other items.
  6. Onsite
    • Helping to set up tents, tables with table skirts, banners, PA systems and other items as needed for events.
    • Making sure our vehicles are clean and wraps look good.
    • Making sure our tents, table skirts and banners look good.
    • Preparing bins for promotional items to be used at remotes, appearances and events.
    • Assisting our NTR Director as needed for our NTR events.
  7. Helping with Digital Workflow
    • Assisting our Digital Director gathering materials such as logos and artwork for the production of ads and content.
  8. Sales Promotion function
    • Creating Digital & Promotional Sales pieces.
